TAU 200

Has anyone had any experience with this rifle (good or bad)? I am considering it as a starter gun for 10m matches.
Thanks

Our club has 5 Tau-200's and I think they make an excellent starter gun. I have had a problem with one of the guns seals but it was fairly easy to fix.(change the O-rings). They are fairly accurate, one of our 12 year olds has no problem shooting around the 500 mark.(the gun shoots better than I can!!!)
Hope this helps........Paul

We've been using Tau 200 rifles as club guns (eight of them) for 18 months, with no major problems. On one, an o-ring failed (15-minute replacement) and one Co2 fill bottle had a faulty valve seat (modified and repaired). Accuracy-wise, they're fine; we tuned them (tweaked the velocity) to the specific pellet we buy for juniors and beginners. Tight one-hole five-shot groups (less than a third of a pellet width spread) are routine. They're great guns -- accurate, good range of adjustments, easy to repair and affordable.
