Pardini K58 vs FWB 103

Posted by Tom on February 09, 2000 at 16:19:51:
I am wanting to but a SSP and am choosing between the Pardini K58 and FWB103. It seems the FWB is a bit more powerfull? Is this true? Also which gun do you think is the better of the two?

I only have experience with the K58, and it is all good. I bought it "pre-owned" from Scott and have had it serviced only once in around 20,000 shots. I haven't tested the velocity but I don't think it affecting my shots. The pistol is capable of perfect scores. I'm sure the 103 is also a fine pistol, but it was beyond my pocketbook and the service is not as friendly.
Good luck, and good shooting, Kent

Tom,
Like Kent, I have a K58 that I'm extremely pleased with. The FWB103 appears to have more bells and whistles, but is considerably more expensive. I purchased my K58 from Don Nygord; please note that for an extra $50, he will modify it so that it can be dry-fired simply by lifting the loading gate (that is, it won't discharge any air, because you don't charge the compression chamber).
Good luck,
Dean

Like everybody else: I'm one more happy Pardini K58 owner. Its velocity, to my knowledge, is typical for an SSP. Accuracy is fine. Grips and trigger are fine. Its only drawback is having to pump between shots, if that is considered a drawback. I also bought mine from Nygord's, for a very reasonable price. While money may not be an issue for you . . . .why spend it if you don't have to?

I do not own a Pardini but I have shot a friend's extensively. The grips are not perfect for my small hands but otherwise it is a fabulous gun--good power (his clocks over 470 fps with H&N Pistol), great trigger and sights. I find it quite easy to charge once the knack is acquired. Very nice Italian sculptured styling as well!
