I have a Daisy 717 that I have modified to Don Nygord's specs re: trigger pull. It shoots great (but slow) with Meister Yellows, and is most inconsistent with other pellets.
I prefer the "feel" over my IZH-46, and wonder if the now defunct 777 would give me some help.
In otherwords, is it just a 717 with a better barrel, grips and adjustable trigger, or did Daisy really try to make a better pistol?

The 777 was the same gun with a Walther Lothar barrel (747 also),wider adjustable trigger and better (Wood) grips. I believe that everything else was the same as the 717. Better, but not really a 10m match gun.

Bob, if you wanted to you can order the lother Walther barrel from Daisy. Last time I checked the price was about 35.00. I never bothered because my 717 was very accurate. You can also get the wide trigger (3.50, I believe).
