I just returned from my third eye exam this week. The goal was to find a lens that would fit into my shooting glasses and avoid shooting with a contact lens. No go. Due to some eye damage I am not able to be corrected to anything better than 20/100 without using a contact lens.
Does anyone out there shoot decent scores with contact lenses?
As a seperate note, none of the three prescriptions agree with each other. The variance between the three is over one diopter. I wonder if this eye glas measurement thing is all its cracked up to be. Is there anything I can do as a patient to obtain a more accurate contact lens prescription?

Firstly, what type of contact lens do you wear..
If Hard or Gp there will always be variation as the eye changes shape every time you take it out.
2/ I shoot in the 570 to 580's with Contact Lenses.
3/ As a practising Optometrist there shouldn't be a problem if he knows his business and knows what you need...
Shame ..I'm in the UK so it is a bit difficult to sort you..

Clive, I wear the gas permable lenses. I have used them for close to twenty years. Any chance you will consider moving over to the usa? I hear Warren likes it!!!

So do I , that really is no problem if they are fitted correctly, ie have largish optics etc..
Next time you come to the UK I will sort it.. I will be in Las Vegas in October ???
