I would say that it is important to get to the site of the match early, and then try to relax. Once you are called to the firing line, you won't have much time at all for anything preparatory. You have to set up and shoot. If you aren't relaxed by then, you will just be playing catch-up, and most likely you won't.
Please note that when I say "relax", I don't necessarily mean to sit down and stagnate. I like to keep active by just walking around the area and talking to other participants -- not enough activity to raise the heartbeat, but enough to keep from getting stiff. Other people like to conserve as much energy as possible. You just have to find out what level of physical and mental activity will keep you focused, but not tired.

Arrive early, stretch, warm-up and prepare your gear.
You should use the same routine you would in practice
but if you are not including stretches and warm up, you
are selling yourself short. Shooting is an athletic sport
and you need to train as an athelete.
