Listers,
From my understanding, these rifles are about the same price as the Anschutz 2000 series AND comes with sights. Any opinions on either of these free rifles? Pros/Cons? Who are their dealers in the US (preferably. in the West)?

If you want service, buy an AHG. That is the best thing to say. From what I have heard the "original" Walther barrels are usually good enough to keep, this isn't always true with an AHG. The FWB barrels used to be very soft and were shot out after only a few thousand rounds. I think that has been changed and the new ones are better. The thing you want to look at is service, how good are you. Are you going to want a custom barrel. Then an AHG would be the best choice. If you want to have something different, than the AHG and Walther are both excellent rifles. The FWB has an adjustable trigger while in position, can be nice. I have heard wonderful things about the trigger of the new Walther as well.
Accessories. It is much easier to buy things to go on to an AHG than either of the others. Hand stops, sights etc. AHG makes the best rear sight now. You don't get it included in the price but the 7000 series is adjustable for cant. The FWB and Walter sights are not and they are not industry "standard" as the AHG is.
Personally I shoot a 2213. An 1913 in the AHG aluminum stock. I had the receiver threaded and a custom barrel put on. I am a total believer in custom barrels, it shoots like a house of fire now. Before it did not.
Dealers, Champions Choice is the only importer of Walther (I believe). I personally DO NOT like Homer or Chuck Pearson. I would rather by from Cal Joos at Champion Shooters Supply. I do not know who all sells FWB.
If you want service, AHG is the best. They still are the most popular too, and there has to be a reason for that. Both of the other rifles are excellent, but they just don't have to reputation, and it is more difficult to get them set up with after market equipment.
Hope that helps,

*** Call Mo at (203) 775-1013 for Walther. He knows the product very well and can usually give a better price. I too have had problems with Champions Choice. They do not know their product and do not seem interested in getting info for you.

My opinions on the FWB are good. I put quite a few rounds through Anschutz, FWB and Walther before I made my choice.
The Walther was very comfortable but lacked a few subtle adjustments I would like. The Anschutz was even worse with very few adjustments
on their alloy stock and a horrible buttplate. Also Anschutz admit that they haven’t produced a good barrel since the 18 series due to
changing location and staff of manufacture. The Feinwerkbau is a wonderful toy. It adjusts everywhere including swiveling the stock left to right. On the barrels what was said is true, but only for the "off the rack rifles". The elite barrels are very different and they will continually test
barrels until they feel that they have one that shoots to your abilities. Also they will test the barrel to the ammunition of your choice. On service
we have had one minor barrel problem with an off the rack job. They said send it back immediately. We paid the postage and tested the barrel with his choice
of ammunition.
MY FWB has no problem shooting consistent high 590's and it never throws the first shot after cleaning like the Anschutz are renowned for.
