Hi guys !
Any advice on the best way to store my Steyr LP 1.?
I used to shoot once a week and I had been given conflicting versions on the best way to store my pistol.
The question is should I remove the cylinder from the pistol or store them together in the box with the cylinder still attached to the pistol ? Most of the time, I felt that there was still some good amount of air pressure left inside the cylinder at the end of my shooting session.
Thanks guys

I'd like some feedback on this as well.
Personally I refill the cylinder and partially screw it onto the pistol. I don't screw it all the way on to avoid compressing the O-rings.
Here's a question that I'd like to add ... when do most competitors refill their scuba tanks? At the moment I start a practice with about 140 bar and have 90 bar remaining after 65 shots (practice match plus sighters). I refill the cylinder after every practice. How far low should I allow the end-of-match pressure go before I refill my scuba tank?

From a repair point of view it doesn't seem to matter much whether the gun has had the cylinder removed all the time it's not in use, or whether it's been left on the gun.
There are conflicting opinions, and I can't say that doing either will cause a problem.
However, for the sake of the o ring on the regulator, it's very important that if you release the pressure by turning off the cylinder you take it ALL the way off. If you take it half way off, then change direction and screw it back on you're giving the o ring hell and it will not last long.

I have been wondering if I should store my 162 EI without closing the bolt all the way. It would seem that not closing the bolt would help to maintain the shape and, therefore, the sealing of the bolt o-ring.
Does anyone have any hard info about whether this is preferred or not?
