Has anyone had their hands
on one of these? If so, is it too light up front as Mr. Kay mentioned in his
review of the pistol? Has anyone used the weights ( #M-261=60grm. or
M-262=80grm,) that attaches to the cylinders to put a little weight up front if
needed? I’m considering a new Morini short or long and would like to find out if
the short version offers any advantages over the standard model. I remember when
FWB came out with the model #65 short with a barrel sleeve (it added a little
weight up front) and it became all the rage due to short barrel time. I have
been holding off from buying a new Morini hoping to get the new model. But
Morini is out waiting me :-(

For your information, a new
kind of coutnterweights will be available in a few weeks for the Morini
airpistol,or any airpistol with 12 mm barrel.
They come in a set of four with
a total weight of 60 g(15g each)These are mounted on the barrel without any
tools, and can be adjusted very quickly during shooting if needed.
I’m sure
that Pilkguns could get them for you.

Thanks for updating us on
the new weights. Do these weights actually fix themselves to the barrel. If so,
won't this affect the point of impact and accuracy when you move them? I know we
use barrel tuners on the bench rest guns. Any small change in movement in or out
changes the results. My LP-10 uses barrel weights. But they attach to the
shroud, not to the bare barrel. Who makes these new weights? Thanks again for
the update.

They are fixed on the barrel
with two o-rings mounted inside the weight, this to avoid any vibrations that
you CAN get with conventional one mounted on a rod.
the changes of the impact
is hardly possible to measure at all.
Morini Competition Arm is distributing
the new counterweights worldwide through their representatives I suppose.
