Greetings,
Does
anyone know where a 500 gram trigger weight tester can be found/purchased?
Anything simple, but accurate, will do...
Is it the case that :
Total
Weight = First Stage Weight + Second Stage Weight
I would like to fiddle a
bit with the Morini trigger, lighten the second stage a "smidgen" and increase
the first stage weight a "tad". (And not have it go off whilst lifting the gun
and pointing to the target :)

Brownells at
www.brownells.com has one that I use. See Chatillon "2# recording trigger pull
gauge with hook". It has a dual scale of 0 to 1000 grams and 0 to 2.2 pounds.

I don't see no
trigger weights listed on your WEB page. How many other goodies do you have
lurking around the shop that we don't know about. I can't buy more stuff from ya
if I don't know what's there.

I went to my
local scrap metal dealer and bought a chunk of scrap brass. I also purchased a
piece of 1/8" brazing rod. I thread the rod to fit into a hole I tapped in the
end of the brass.
The next job was to take this assembly to my local druggist
(chemist for you folks across the pond) and have each piece weighed. I
determined the approximate portion to cut off the brass bar, polished it up and
took everything back. As anticipated, it was a bit heavy. So I drilled out the
bottom of the bar to take the weight off. After two tries, I got the final
assembly within 10 grams, on the heavy side, just for a little error leeway.
Polished brass is very pretty, and the test handle perfectly fits my pistola.
