How to Step Up the Trigger Stop of My LP10

Posted by Andi on September 07, 2001 at 16:31:25:
What I understood reading this message board, a 'grand merci' to Scott for that, is that the best way to set the trigger weight is:
Set the first trigger stage pressure about 300-400 grams
Set the second trigger stage pressure up to 500 grams
Turn the trigger stop screw clockwise until the shot is released then turn back 1/3 of a turn that screw.
I'm not able to release the shot turning the trigger stop screw clockwise. Is that because I closed the cocking lever to the draw firing position, when I tried to set correctly the trigger stop, or you cannot set the LP10 trigger weight that way?
Thank you all,
Andi

Turning the screw does not release the shot, your still have to be applying finger pressure to the trigger to do that. To the set the trigger stop or overtravel as we Americans call it. Hold pressure against the trigger with your finger, if it breaks ( goes off), turn it in some more until you can't make the shot fire. When it won't fire, because you are now "stopping" the trigger before it breaks, hold pressure on the trigger and slow back the screw off until it "clicks" or fires, then go about a 1/3 more of a turn and you should be set.
