AW93

Is this gun as good as the Hammerli 208s?
If you have one, please, share your experience with this pistol.
Greetings.

I went from a 208 to a AW93 - had my AW93 for 6 years, not a single malfunction or any problem.
Quantum leap from a 208 - better trigger, better balance, better grip, better sights and lower bore line. That , coupled with recoil reducing mechanics = soft shots and better control.
Sold my AW93 cause I was bored with it and I now shoot with a Unique 96U which I love....

Anthony,
The AW93 is an incredible pistol. I have owned one for 2 1/2 years and love it! I have not owned a Hammerli but have been told by knowledgeable shooters that the two guns are very comparable. You really need to pick them both up and shoot them side-by-side. That is probably not possible though. Just find them and see for yourself which one you prefer.
I am very happy with my AW93.

The biggest difference I can readily detect is that you can buy a new AW93:-)

Who stocks them?

Beeman is the FWB importer.

It's heavier than the 208, but has better recoil control in 10 secs for example. Hand position is more canted forward than with the 208. Trigger is infinitely adjustable. Stock FWB grip is ordinary, try a KN Nill grip as a replacement. Very happy with mine.

I have not tried any of them. However I have seen a sport pistol match with two ladies (one with the FWB and other with the 208) shooting side by side. I noticed that apparently the recoil on the FWB was much smaller than with the 208. Could the 208 be improved with heavier barrel weight? I don’t know. So, my guess is the FWB has a improved design, better for the fast series as it reduces the recovery time.
Good luck
