SAM K11?

What's the word on this thing? It looks pretty spiffy, but I've never had the chance to play with one.

That's a pretty funny story, I think. I'm on the verge of buying one myself, so I tried to get some echo over the last few months.
a) People who have one say it's great - the best gun they've ever owned. I've never met someone who changed back away from it after trying it out (for longer than 5 minutes, that is). Seems that balance and trigger are the main positive factors. All say that the factory grip is not after their liking, but which one is...
b) For the rest of the world, everyone has something negative to say, but not two of them the same thing. Many had unfriendly experiences with the SAM 10, some don't like the design, many fear to be laughed at when they show up with those two antennas. No really rational arguments there, as you see.
I think I saw some amazing results on Grzegorz' postal match which were shot with the K11, so a lack of shooters using it on international level doesn't seem to be a sign of trouble. That’s' probably more a question of a travelling support department (10%) and sponsoring (90%).
The only reason I don’t' have one today is the new Pardini rapid fire pistol, which will eat up my 2001 budget in November, so I give my CM162EI another chance. If my subconscious (again) can't deliver this winter...

Will the new Pardini Rapid have the electronic trigger?
Cheers, Pradeep.

I currently have a Sam at the moment on trial from a very nice bloke and i can say that it is a fine pistol. I can say that I personally do not get on with it, due to the grip. However the balance and the trigger are very good. I would definitely say that you need to try one to tell for yourself. You get a good kit- lockable case, spare cylinder, adapter and a gauge at a competitive price.

I've just been shooting AP for about two months and the SAM K11 is my first air pistol so I can't say how it compares to other air pistols but for one who has owned "regular" guns for better than 55 years I can say it is a dandy. The workmanship is first class, the trigger is smooth as silk and the grip fits as though it were made especially for me. I love it! I even like the whisker weights as they form two legs of a tripod for setting the thing down in a nice position between shots (they can be swung up along the barrel if you don't like them sticking down like that.) So, just because it's not being shot by a whole bunch of people right now and doesn't have the Morini or Steyr or ... name attached to it doesn't mean that it's not a great gun capable of fine results. If you have access to one, give it a shot (pun intended) and see what you think rather than dismissing it out of hand.

I have been shooting 10 meter a bit over three years and have greatly enjoyed the learning and the progress. I have a Feinwerkbau 103 and a Steyr LP-1P which has been my main shooter for about two years, I love it. I got a K11 about three months ago and it is working out very well for me. The balance and the trigger are superb and the grips fit me like a glove. As I mentioned in an earlier comment I recently shot two new "bests" in one week, made me happy. Bottom line, I would certainly recommend the K11 very highly and in that regard I expect it to be my new main shooter. Give it a try if you can, I doubt you will be disappointed.
