A casino is going to be opened in an elite hotel in Kiev in front of the Verkhovna Rada

According to journalists of several Ukrainian media, a new casino will be opened in the very centre of Kiev in the near future. According to unofficial information, the object will be located in elite capital hotel "Kiev", which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Stickers with gambling symbols (dice and cards), which have recently appeared on the hotel facade, evidence the imminent opening of the casino. Many journalists believe that the casino will be open only to VIP-clients of casinos not on gamstop who are members of various factions and are members of committees of the Verkhovna Rada. This information was confirmed in her social networks by an MP of the Sluha Naroda party, Olga Vasilevska-Smaglyuk.

The hotel complex's administration refused to comment on the news about the opening of an elite casino on its premises. Currently, the Kiev hotel accommodates MPs who do not have their own accommodation in the Ukrainian capital. Local laws stipulate that they are to be compensated for living in rented flats. According to statistics, during the first six months of this year about 15m hryvnyas (over 40m roubles) were allocated from the budget for this purpose.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Gambling Council Anton Kuchukhidze at a press conference once again asked members of parliament to finally vote for the adoption of amendments to the Tax Code of the country, which are intended to regulate the taxation system for representatives of Ukrainian gambling business.

He noted that the delays in this matter have a negative impact on the image of the state and also slow down the emergence of large gambling companies in the local jurisdiction. According to Anton Kuchukhidze, the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission (KRAIL) is currently considering 10 applications from prominent foreign operators.
