An independent laboratory, Karl Wernigg, tested all the rifle models from leading European manufacturers. The focus was how did the physical vibrations in the barrel caused by the shot release affect accuracy and shot placement?

The result was really amazing! The Steyr LG100 finished with an ideal score. 0! To explain more: When the pellet leaves the barrel, the barrel vibration is at the zero point. In other words, at its neutral resting condition. This is of course the same position as it was during the aiming phase when the shot was released. Optimal comditions for a precise shot - perfect!

Test Conditions

• One model from each of the four leading European air rifle manufacturers was tested.
• The graph shows the significance of the comparison.
• The results shown are of the shockwave over the time between the valve opening and the vibration ceasing after the pellet has exited.
• A screen division is approximately 100 millisecond.
