A Wedding in Steyr
We received an invitation to attend a wedding party for a good friend in Austria, Gerd Carlo Mannel. Gerd is the manager and part owner of the new Steyr Sportwaffen company. He was planning to wed the lovely Katharina Wacther and then celebrate the occasion with invited guests on September 27th 2003. And since this date just happened to correspond to the 17th wedding anniversary for Rhonda and me, we said “What the heck, lets go. We haven’t had a real vacation in over 12 years, and have not been away from the kids for a day or two at time since they were born 9 years ago. Its time to spend some time for ourselves”. And so off we went.
Here are the pictures from Gerd and Kathi’s wedding party. There are lots of pictures of the two of them, the other employees/co-owners of the company, their guests that included a few well known names in the shooting world, and a couple from Tennessee celebrating their own wedding anniversary. Notice they even had little bit of shooting at wedding as well; it seems that Kathi out shot Gerd in the attempt to bust the balloon with felt cleaning pellets. They also spent some time digging in the dirt, looking for Pirate treasure. And we had fun watching them and helping them thin down the abundance of liquid refreshments that were on hand, lots of fine beers and local champagne made of pears. A fine time was had by all, so we hope to share the good cheer a little bit with you by these photos. Brost!
