Trigger Adjustments (Model 722 only)

Sear Engagement

1. Check pistol is empty.
2. Turn bolt handle to cock pistol and put safety on “off” position.
3. Using a screwdriver, turn Screw 1 clockwise until the firing pin falls. Then turn the same screw about half a turn anticlockwise. Recock pistol and check the trigger is not too sensitive; if so, turn further anticlockwise.

Trigger Weight

Turn Screw 2 clockwise to increase pressure.

Trigger Shoe

Trigger shoe can be moved fore and aft, also angled, by loosening Screw 3, repositioning shoe and retightening when in desired position.

Stripping the Bolt

1. Remove bolt by pulling to rear while holding trigger back. Clamp front section of bolt in vice with padded jaws.
2. Rotate the bolt handle clockwise (from rear) to release compression on the mainspring.
3. Using a pointed tool, gently pry out the bolt sleeve retainer ring until it is completely out of its seating in the bolt sleeve. The retainer consists of a steel spring on the inside part of the bolt sleeve.
4. Rotate the bolt sleeve as shown in the figure, until the bolt sleeve retaining ring is completely free. This will free the other parts also. To remove the retaining ring, however, pressure must be maintained on the bolt sleeve against the bolt assembly.
