Trigger Adjustments

Trigger Weight: Turn screw 1138a clockwise to decrease weight.

Sear Engagement: To set sear engagement: Turn screw 1138 anti clockwise about two full turns. Then cock the set trigger and slowly turn screw 1138 clockwise until the sear releases. Then back off (turn anti clockwise) one quarter turn.

Trouble Shooting

If the action cannot be cocked, check whether trigger spring screw (1153) has become loose or whether the trigger-bar spring (1152), the hammer or the main spring has become defective.

Stripping

1. Remove grips.
2. On right side of breech casing move the block bolt locking piece (30). If this is not possible loosen its screw (60) by one turn and move loading lever (17) forward. Take off block bolt (40).
3. Take out block (8), which can be done easily by moving slightly loading lever (17). To do this the pistol has to be held in a position with the trigger-guard upwards and the sights showing to the ground.
4. Loosen forearm screw (56) and take it out.
5. Remove loading lever and hair trigger mechanism combining bolt (38) by knocking it out with a drift pin from left to right. (When mounting insert pin from opposite side).
6. Now the whole set trigger mechanism can be removed together with loading lever and hammer (18). Draw downwards following the cut of the cocking lever.
7. To reassemble, carry out in reverse order.

Set Trigger

Should the set trigger cease to work, give to a gunsmith to fully disassemble if necessary. Try thorough cleaning in petrol to see if this will fix it first.

Safety Hint

Never close the action on a live round when the trigger is already cocked. Tough the trigger first to unset the trigger, otherwise the gun could fire accidentally on closing the action.
