Sight Adjustments
Clockwise down.
Clockwise right.
Trigger
The only adjustment is trigger weight. Screw 10480 is located in the rear of the frame above the grip. Turning clockwise will increase trigger weight. Trigger may only be lightened to the stage where the screw is flush with the surface of the frame.
Stripping
Ensure pistol is safe, pull the slide and lock to the rear.
Remove mag.
Grasp the pistol as shown in Fig 1. Right hand grasps gun with thumb over retracted slide and four fingers under trigger guard around front strap of frame. Place four fingers of left hand over barrel and depress takedown plunger with thumb of left hand.
Lift barrel out of its bedding with a straight upward motion (Fig 1A).
Note: Prolonged shooting tightens the barrel even more firmly in its bedding. If, after extensive shooting, it becomes difficult to remove barrel by thumb pressure alone, press takedown plunger against solid object to remove barrel from frame. In removal of barrel, always have slide held open to prevent possible damage to extractor.
Pull back locked slide a short distance to release slide lock and ease slide forward off the frame.
Do not allow hammer to be released while slide is removed. If it is necessary to decock, carefully ease it forward with the thumb while squeezing the trigger.
Be careful when removing right hand grip not to lose the slide lock spring.
