World Class Air Pistols

(the greatest names in accuracy)

Steyr Air Pistols

The formula for success of the world's best air pistol shooters!

1st advantage:
Ball bearing trigger!

The axle, now free from play, runs considerably smoother within a dust free, sealed ball bearing, than a conventional pivot. First stage travel and trigger pull force become perceptively smoother, also there is virtually no lateral play: supreme consistency!

2nd advantage:
Dry fire shots with no tools needed!

You can activate the dry firing device at anytime and without any necessary tools. Just leave the bolt open or even open it on an already loaded weapon - now you can dry fire. For maximum safety a shot is only possible, when the bolt is fully closed.

3rd advantage:

Setup rear sight notch and front sight!

Sight radius is adjustable (e.g. LP10 from 316 to 365 mm). The rear sight notch can be opened to a maximum width of 6 mm. Depth adjustment of the rear notch is also possible. The front sight can be mounted in three positions. For a perfect setup!

4th advantage:
STEYR stabilizer & you hit the target!

A heavy metal rod with a high specific gravity eliminates recoil on every shot without any readjustment irrespective of the weight of the pellet. The patented STEYR stabilizer instils confidence.

5th advantage:
Multifunctional grip adjustment

The pistol grip must fit perfectly for top results.
The ingenious but very simple and easy method
of adjustment has helped to bring countless gold medals to the users of STEYR pistols.

6th advantage:
Maintenance free high quality finish!

The reliable workmanship on the surface of STEYR
is unique. All aluminium parts are anodised and therefore corrosion free, just like the fully nickel plated high precision barrels. World class quality.

Steyr LP10

First introduced in 2000, the LP10 has been used by top competition shooters to achieve the 2009 10 meter air pistol world record of 594, shot by Jin Jong-oh of South Korea, and various silver and gold medal wins in the Olympics, ISSF World Shooting Championships, and the World Cup.

The pistol uses compressed air as propellant, with cylinders charged to 200 bar. A pressure reduction valve reduces and stabilizes the actual shooting air pressure to about 55 bar. Normal shooting capacity for the LP10 is about 170 shots per air charge.

Distinctive to the LP10 is the stabilizing system, which uses a small tungsten piston to compensate for impulse movement of the pistol caused by firing. The LP10 also uses barrel ports and a muzzle brake to counteract muzzle rise and recoil.

The LP10 air pistols have fully adjustable sights - the rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage. Additionally, the depth of the rear notch is adjustable, as is the sight line length. The trigger is two-stage and can be adjusted for over-travel, first stage weight and travel, and second stage weight and sear engagement. The trigger mechanism can be dry fired.

The LP10's anatomically shaped grip is made by Morini and has an adjustable palm shelf. Rake and rotation of the grip is adjustable with screws under the grip.

Unlike most target air pistols, the LP 10 has a barrel shroud and is offered in an optional bright silver colored metal finish. Four 10 gram barrel weights also come with the gun.

The LP10 comes in a polymer pistol carrying case with manuals, two pre-compressed air cylinders with built in pressure gauges, an air filling adapter, and tools.

LP 10 Compact silver

The advantages of the COMPACT models:

Shorter sighting line:
The sight radius of the LP 10- and LP 50-Compact-models is more variable than the LP 2 Compact: Length of sight radius of LP 10 C is between 266 and 315 mm and the LP 50 C is between 257 and 300 mm. The distance between the rear and front sight is shorter by 50 mm compared to the standard models and shows a more stable sight picture in relationship to the target. The steadier sight picture will increase confidence in young and old alike and allow them to concentrate on trigger release.

Lighter weight:  The lighter weight means that the young shooter is able to train for longer periods to perfect strength and technique.

Steyr LP50 and LP50E

With the introduction of the new ISSF Rapid Fire Air Pistol events the continued worldwide popularity of the Steyr LP50 is doubly assured. For many years it's predecessor (the LP5) has been a favorite of NRA Bullseye shooters for home training - for the timed and rapid fire series. It is a very versatile pistol with changeable light to heavy trigger units and the ability to mount a red dot sight with ease. The new LP50, introduced in 2003, features a pre-cut shroud* for scope/dot mounting, cylinders with manometers and fitted carry case.

  * factory cut shrouds are available exclusively from PCE.
